Quiz 3-5-15
1.) Motivation- the willingness of attempting something without direction from others.
2.) Extrinsic and Intrinsic differ from a point of view such as internal and external. Intrinsic is more powerful and can do more damage because your own mind can make you do things you don't want to do, if you allow it to.
3.) A person's interest and a person's position in a conflict can make the argument either exciting and interesting or boring and pointless. A position can mean knowing statistics such as which is bigger, stronger, or even better.

The Catcher In The Rye, Ch. 3
In chapter 3 in The Catcher In The Rye, we find out that he lives in a dorm with someone else who seems to have a pretty close relationship with. There's Ackley, which lives across the hall from Holden, who always enters Holden's dorm room unannounced. Ackley clearly shows a dislike on Holden's roommate, Stradlater.
ALL THAT DAVID COPPERFIELD KIND OF CRAP
During the first 2 chapters of The Catcher In The Rye,the author introduces the main characters to the readers. Holden Caulfield is a troubled and isolated young guy who has been kicked out of private school. In his last day of school, he received a note from his history teacher to meet him for a talk. Mr. Spencer, wonders why he is throwing away a perfectly good chance as if it was nothing. Holden, as troubled as he is, doesn't want to hear Mr. Spencer's pep talk what so ever. He is annoyed but doesn't leave because he feels it will be rude, so he stays and acts like he is paying attention. In his mind, hes thinking why Mr. Spencer bothers to change his view towards his attitude.

MUSIC AS LITERATURE
Can music relate to literature? In my personal opinion, yes i do believe that music can be considered to be literature, depending on the characteristics of the song. The reason why i say that is because anyone can make a song that has no true meaning to it and has no point, but some artists bring poetry with music and make meaningful music. Literature can be defined by writing forms of expressions and connecting them with ideas and interests. Novels, poems, songs, operas, symphony's can all relate in some ways but one difference that they all posses is the way that they are put together. The form that they are put into can change the feeling of what the creator is trying to say.
